Skyzone has closed a deal with US operator Verizon to bring innovative mobile games from operator SK Telekom to US consumers.
Skyzone kicked the deal off by launching Conundrum in the Get it Now channel on Verizon. This game will shortly be followed by the launch of Jewel City. Through the deal, the amount of original IP based games is set to increase and so hopes are set that US consumers will start looking past the big brands in mobile gaming.
"South Korea is a sophisticated mobile market and is a leader in mobile game innovation," said Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital media programming for Verizon. "SkyZone’s success in bringing top-quality games from this market to the United States provides our customers access to an even broader portfolio of quality titles with proven appeal among gamer-centric cultures."
"SkyZone is committed to working with the latest technology to bring true innovation into the marketplace," said Key N. Sar, vice president, strategy, business development and marketing of SkyZone Entertainment. "Our current relationship with Verizon Wireless is a testament to our deep experience in mature gaming markets, our trusted relationships with both developers and carriers, and our proven ability to replicate the Asian formula for success in mobile games, allowing us to extend that same exciting content to new audiences."
