Cnet found out that South Korean operator SK Telecom is planning to launch it’s own App Store. The eta version is planned to be available in June whereas the full commercial launch will be along September.
SK Telecom is aiming it’s app store toward Windows Mobile, Symbian and BlackBerry owners. cNet doubts however if it will be a real success as there are hardly any real smartphones on the market. Cnet calculated that there are about 300K SKU’s on the market. That is 0.04% of the total devices out there.
