App Discovery on Android has already been a pain for mobile game developers. With a new product called Sidebar, the Sidebar company hopes to change the way consumers browse the Android Market.
Unlike many other app focused companies, Sidebar has chosen to focus on Android first. We don’t know why, but it’s certainly a platform that is in need of a tool like this. Later on, the company will launch it’s product on BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile and Symbian S60 as well.
Through the Sidebar app, consumers will get a shortlist of interesting apps based on their own preferences. The app will fire off up to twelve recommendations a day covering games, apps, music and more. It also allows consumers to vote if the recommendation was suited or not.
