SEGA has announced that it will reorganize its US and UK offices. As a result of this reorganization, 37 employees of the London office and 36 employees of the San Francisco office will be laid off.
The main reason for the reorganization is SEGA’s shift to digital publishing. At the moment, both offices are involved in digital publishing as well as traditional publishing. When the reorganization is complete, all digital distribution (XBLA, App Store, PSN etc) will be managed from San Francisco. London will be responsible for traditional publishing.
