Scoreloop Goes Cross Platform

December 13th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS, Platforms: iOS | 2 Comments »

Scoreloop When looking at all those social gaming platforms on the iPhone, Scoreloop hasn't always been the fastest innovator (though their betting platform is a differentiator from the start), the company has now taken a head start by going cross platform.

As of now, Android developers will be able to hook their games up to the Scoreloop CoreSocial platform as well. Next to welcoming this new batch of players, Scoreloop has even created the option for mobile gamers to compete cross-platform.

In their Bug Landing tech demo, the company shows that an iPhone owner can challenge an Android gamer and vise versa.

“We’ve had great success on the iPhone and we’re now bringing social gaming capabilities to Android for a complete cross-platform experience,” said Marc Gumpinger, Scoreloop CEO.  “We’re still dedicated to the iPhone, but publishers are extremely limited by device fragmentation and the fact that most friends aren’t on the same handset. When it comes to mobile social gaming this is a real threat and one we’re hard at work to help our partners solve.”

“We’ve had great success with the Scoreloop integrated social-features on our iPhone titles Cricket T20 Super Sixers and Godzilla – Monster Mayhem.  We’re thrilled to extend that community and drive game discovery on the Android platform as well,” said Vishal Gondal, CEO, Indiagames.

Does it cost anything for me to upload scores to Scoreloop. (Via iphone gaming) I did so without reading the terms and conditions

    2. Arjan Olsder says:

No, just the normal charge for using your mobile internet connection
