Samsung Mobile is launching their Samsung Mobile Applications app store in the United Kingdom. “Samsung Mobile Innovator” members will be able to start selling their apps and games.
The shop allows developers and publishers to offer both commercial and freeware downloads to consumers owning both Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile devices. All those that are already registered to the “Samsung Mobile Innovator” programme will find their accounts set-up for them already.
“All Samsung Mobile Innovator members are automatically setup with a Samsung Mobile Applications account, there is no need for them to register separately so this represents a fantastic opportunity for them to get their applications to a large Samsung-user audience very quickly” explains Phil Northam, Global Marketing Manager at Samsung Mobile Innovator.
The store will officially go live for consumers during the Mobile World Congress, later this month. Samsung expects that the store will then already hold 1100 games and apps.
