According to various sources, Apple is planning a serious update for the iPhone platform. Apart from bringing a much smaller model, the company would also be working on a SDMA/GSM hybrid.
The screen size would slim down from 3.5″ to 2.8″ (comparable to the Nokia N95). The device would be created by Pegatron, an Asus company. The current models are produced at Hon Hai.
By introducing a CDMA/GSM hybrid, the company will also arm itself better toward Palm who has put their Pixi hybrid phone on the market.
With these moves, Apple can make itself more popular, but still these are rumors like we have seen so many before.
