Rovio Builds Android Based In-App Purchasing Platform

December 13th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

Rovio has announced it will soon support in-app purchases on Android. The first avialable option would be to buy off the adverts shown in the popular free game.

Their platform is called Bad Piggy Bank and will first be activated in Finland. Rovio makes direct deals with operators to support operator billing. That way, consumers don’t need a creditcard.

This move could turn Rovio into a mobile payment provider in the long run.
