RIM Launches Developer Resource Center Beta

April 26th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: BlackBerry | No Comments »

RIM has launched a new developer portal called the Developer Resource Center. The new resource center will probably replace the existing BlackBerry developer portal.

One of the big advantages of the new portal should be in navigation. RIM has put a lot of time in optimizing their search functionality. When developers search for a topic, the results can vary from code snippets to knowledgebase articles and video’s.

Social components are also very important to the portal as RIM wants to stimulate discussions between developers to solve problems. Developers can submit their own tutorials, video’s etc.
