Resolve: iPad Threatens e-Readers and Handhelds

According to a study from Resolve Market Research, 38% of iPad owners say they are no longer interested in buying an handheld gaming console over half of them is no longer interested in e-readers.

Consumers do seem to recognize that the iPad is a huge consumption device. They see that they still need a laptop or PC on the side to do serious tasks. For 37% of iPad owners, the iPad is their first Apple hardware. Only 16% has a bought a MacBook before.
