Qualcomm closed a deal with Telecom Italia Mobile to launch their white label app store (Plaza Retail) in the Brazilian market. With the launch, Qualcomm further secures their position of Brew in the America’s.
The launch itself is planned for Q1 2010 and will not only support a big part of the TIM Brew handsets, but owners of devices that support J2me, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian and Flash games are also welcome to shop for their favorite games. The App Store itself will be offered to all 40 million consumers as an on-device store which means they have to download it.
Brazil is also the market for the Zeebo console that is based on Qualcomm's Brew.
Congratulations
