PlayPhone has invested in the creation of a new mobile social gaming platform which app developers can tap into. With this move, PlayPhone takes on Scoreloop, OpenFeint, Plus+ and others.
Liveware is the first company to launch games with PlayPhone Social support inside. The company will be launching games based on the Harvest Moon brand, which is deployed on consoles like the Wii and DSi. The PlayPhone Social supporting games will be launched on iPhone and Android.
