Good news for application developers. Orange UK and Player X have started to distribute mobile (lifestyle) applications towards the operator's customer base.
Applications have already received a warm welcome with iPhone, Android and BlackBerry consumers. Yet, conventional channels seemed to be left behind.
With this announcement, it seems Player X might start to create awareness for mobile applications within the classical markets.
Tony Pearce, CEO said "Thanks largely to the explosion of smart phones there is a hungry demand for Apps in the market and Player X is the ideal partner to deliver first class aggregation services with our distribution and retail strengths.”
Neil Holroyd, Head of Gaming and Application Services, Orange UK added “Applications is a key area for Orange UK that is already showing strong growth. We are very excited about its potential”.
Congratulations
