Player X, known for their mobile games and video’s, has been selected
as finalist in the famous Red Herring 100 Awards which rewards top
performing private ventures in Europe.
Earlier this year, Player X reached another milestone as they where rated 17th in O2’s 50 to watch.
"Being announced as Red Herring 100 Finalist is a testament to the hard work the whole team has put in. We define ourselves as a mobile media company and our achievements in games, TV, video underline this. We’re looking for more recognition over the rest of the year," said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.
“This year’s impressive list, and unprecedented number of submissions from companies demonstrates Europe’s emergence as a major player in the global technology sector,” said Red Herring Editor-in-Chief, Joel Dreyfuss. “The exceptional accomplishments of European technology companies and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.”
Player X has been chosen from a list of 700 European companies which Red Herring analyzed in both the financial performance as subjective criteria like management quality, execution of strategy etc.
Furthermore, the company has ramped up its presence in the mobile games market by partnering with companies such as Sky TV, EMI Music and extending its relationship with FremantleMedia by adding a PrizePlay element to evergreen titles such as Family Fortunes and The Price Is Right.
