Player X has yet again secured a movie license through their connection
with Paramount Pictures. Via their latest deal, the company will take
The Love Guru mobile.
The movie premieres in North America on June 20th and will be released internationally over the ensuing weeks as part of Paramount Pictures’ summer line-up.
Player X produced a mobile game based on the movie that the company will publish across its distribution network of more than 140 carriers and a potential audience of more than 2.3 billion people.
The game was released exclusively on the US’s Verizon Wireless network on June 10th and will then roll out across the rest of the US networks over the following two weeks. In Europe it will be live on all networks according to the film’s release date in each country.
“The Love Guru mobile game is a great complement to the upcoming theatrical debut of the film,” states Sandi Isaacs, SVP Mobile & Interactive, Paramount Digital Entertainment. “We are excited to reunite with Player X to develop a game that will entertain audiences of all ages.”
The game, developed by Tag Games, comprises of six mini-games where players try to achieve enlightenment by passing various mental challenges.
“We’re delighted to be working with Paramount Digital Entertainment on The Love Guru. A Mike Myers’ movie is a big event and we have worked very closely with Paramount Pictures to ensure the game matches the quality, humour and originality of the movie,” said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.
