RIM is preparing the BETA of PlayBook OS 2.1 for download by the community. The 2.1 update will offer a few improvements in the usability of the device, but mainly increase possibilities to app developers.
Users of the PlayBook (and we know there’s a lot of them amongst developers) can start using e-mail and contacts in portrait mode. Next to that, RIM added multitasking support for Android apps, Camera API and in-app billing for developers. Text messaging via BlackBerry Bridge will also be enabled when the device is paired with a smartphone.
Congratulations
