Panasonic Opens App Market for Viera TV’s

During the CES, Panasonic announced their App Market for their line of Viera TV’s. The App Market is an extension to Panasonic’s IPTV platform called Viera Connect.

The App Market allows developers to both sell apps and charge consumers for in-app content which is ideal for video rental services. Gameloft is one of the first to jump on that market. During the CES, Panasonic showed off Asphalt 5 on a Viera TV.
