January 20th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial, Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

Oreilly Creating games for the iPhone doesn’t seem hard considering the huge amount of games available on the platform. To aid even more developers in entering the App Store, O’Reilly just finished a book called ‘iPhone Game Development’.

The book will take you from game design basics all the way to development fundamentals with attention to graphics and sound as well. The book is created together with programmers from companies like EA and Konami.

"The iPhone is a proven platform for game development with a growing market Just the other day I saw a billboard advertising the iPod Touch as a gaming platform. Apple is a really strong company to partner with, and the doors are open. And yet, the true potential for iPhone games has yet to be tapped; there is still plenty of room for innovation out there," says author Paul Zirkle, Lead Mobile Programmer at Konami Digital Entertainment.
