Orangepixel Releases Timecops

September 23rd, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in New Releases | No Comments »

It might sound like Jean Claude van Damme is entering a mobile game, but it’s not. With Timecops, Orangepixel releases its own vision of what a timecop should be.

Timecops was developed with console games as example, including a story of bad guys and good guys, cinematics, and narrative. As the timecop agent your mission is to discover who or what is going on at a secret army base location.

"With Timecops we wanted to do a big console like game for mobile phones, obviously you can’t really do that, but we gave it a pretty good try anyway" says CEO Pascal Bestebroer. "We included interaction with non playable characters, a great story and some fairly extensive narrative, we even added console style cover-system! I’m pretty sure this is one of our best games up to now, and we have bigger things planned using our new GRiMM engine for mobile games".

Timecops is the first installment of a planned trilogy, featuring a sound track, a large variation of game-area’s, unlockable and uploadable achievements using the RumbleX system (rumbleX.com), and a Zeemote supporting version.
