UK operator Orange has revealed some interesting metrics about their userbase. Orange consumers seem keen on surfing the mobile web (though mainly from home) and wide acceptance toward mobile marketing.
The acceptance of mobile marketing is very interesting for Orange as the company is trying to push their ad network in their market. In total, 70% of their consumers where positive about it. Consumers prefer click-through ads and discount coupons.
When it comes to mobile internet usage, 81% of the respondents noted that they use their mobile phones to browse the internet at least one time a week. 46% uses the mobile internet on a daily basis!
PocketGamer managed to get some additional metrics from Orange UK:
* 55 per cent of all mobile media users play games on their mobile phone.
* 68 per cent of 16-24 year-olds have played games on their handset.
* 59 per cent of 25-44 year-olds have played games on their handset.
* 37 per cent of 45-64 year-olds have played games on their handset.
* 58 per cent of men have played games on their phone, but for women
the figure is 52 per cent.
This survey was held under 2.000 respondents in the UK that used mobile media services before.
Congratulations
