Today, OpenFeint announced OpenFeint Connect, a do it yourself solution for those developers that wish to implement OpenFeit functionality on yet unsupported platforms and app stores.
With this solution, OpenFeint hopes that developers will start connecting players from various platforms through the new set of API’s. The API’s provide developers access to leaderboards and achievements as well as the OpenFeint accounts themselves, OpenFeint Friends and Developer Announcements toward gamers.
Currently, OpenFeint is integrated into 4.700 games and has 65 million gamers signed up.
“We believe games should connect people, regardless of what device or mobile OS they own. With the release of OpenFeint Connect, we give game developers the flexibility they need to take their games and game data to players everywhere,” said Jason Citron, founder and CEO of OpenFeint. “Developers are always asking if we support the Mac App Store, now with this API, we can support them.”
Congratulations
