Remember the story we had last year about some territory manager at Glu that was trying to influence mobile game review results? Several iPhone sites have started a new campaign for fair reviews.
This new initiative has been set up by The Appera, 148Apps, Slide to Play and the iPhone Gamers Network in the hope to give consumers trust in the quality of their reviews. The special OATS website which has been created by the group informs consumers about what the campaign stands for and allows other review sites to sign up as well.
In our eyes, this initiative is a great start, but it would be nice if it was less iPhone centric. It would be great to see all big mobile game review sites (i.e. Midlet Review, Finger Gaming and of course Pocket Gamer) sign up and make a statement this way.
Congratulations
