NokiaAt the GC Developers Conference, Nokia has announced the availability of the SNAP platform for German Consumers. The platform will launch in the fall of 2007.

The platform will launch with it’s flagship games Jellypop and SuDoKuwhich are already being sold in North America and the Asia Pacific regions. SNAP Mobile comes preinstalled on the latest series of Nokia phones inclusing the famous N95 and N73 as well as the 6300.

The SNAP Mobile platform allows consumers to download trial versions of the games. After the evaluation period, consumers are asked if they want to buy the game. When clicking on buy and reviewing purchase details, the consumers will get an SMS directly with a link to the full game download.

Antoine Doumenc, head of SNAP Mobile stated, "After continued success in Asia Pacific, we are clearly setting our sights on the European market. Germany is our first target country and we plan to expand our service availability in multiple European distribution channels within the year. In addition, we will be offering many more opportunities to German consumers to be connected through casual games in near future."

    1. Hmmm yes well I went to the Develop Expo 2007 in Brighton recently to take a look at it further – oddly enough the booth was closed or appeared to be so I could’nt. The show btw was not a good one really.
