Nokia’s executive vice president Anssi Vanjoki has been announced to be
a keynote speaker at this year’s GDC Mobile event from CMP.
Anssi will mostly focus on speaking about Nokia’s move into the mobile services market and the plans for succeeding in connecting people through play, a service where the new N-Gage platform will star.
With millions of N-Gage 2.0 ready mobile devices in the market already, Anssi will explain how the games industry can benefit from this made-for-mobile games service. Mobile games will play a key role in Nokia’s services strategy.
“Bringing people together on a common platform works for the PC, consoles, and the web browser, and Nokia is well-positioned to bring a similar level of platform ubiquity to mobile games,” said Jamil Moledina, executive director, Game Developers Conference. “Giving developers the chance to create community experiences on any device is a key goal of the GDC overall, and so we are pleased to host Vanjoki’s vision for empowering our attendees.”
