Nokia: No QT on Windows Phone 7

February 11th, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: QT | No Comments »

Though Nokia always said QT is their way to bridge development on their mobile platforms, Nokia now confirms the deal with Microsoft will not involve that bit of technology.

While Microsoft is offering three ways to develop apps and games for Windows Phone 7, it seems like the deal with Nokia will not be adding a fourth to the mix as Nokia has notified QT developers that QT will not support Windows Phone 7. QT will remain the preferred development framework for Symbian and MeeGo devices.
