Nokia’s executive vice president of markets, Anssi Vanjoki, kicked off the second and last day of GDC Mobile with his speech about Context, the New Paradigm for Game Play.
He kicked off with stating that one billion of mobile phones from Nokia are currently in the hands of consumers world-wide. 200 billion of those devices are owned by technology leaders, consumers that see their mobile phone as more than just a tool to talk (12%). Nokia is working hard to satisfy these consumers with new and innovative content.
In regards to the launch of the N-Gage First Access, Vanjoki is very satisfied about the feedback given by consumers that use the Nokia N81. He expects that N-Gage is a perfect way to break the operator monopoly on the mobile games market.
