Though Nokia is scaling down on both MeeGo and Symbian until it starts shipping the first Windows Phone 7 devices, competitors seem very interested in having MeeGo on their devices.
MeeGo was a development effort from both Intel and Nokia and with Nokia pulling out, Intel had a real problem on it’s hands. Now, a few months after the announcement, Intel can announce that LG and ZTE have joined the company in order to put some MeeGo products on the market.
Nice to know is that Nokia will release one, and the only one, phone based on MeeGo later this year. That device was already in the last stages of development and Nokia decided not to throw that effort overboard.
So MeeGo might get interesting for QT developers anyway.
Congratulations
