Following the statement that Adobe has flash ready and awaiting Appla’s approval to launch, Microsoft has also taken a shot at getting Silverlight on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Guess what!? Microsoft receives the same treatment as Adobe, a clear NO!
This means that Silverlight is the second browser plugin that will not enrich the Internet experience or even the possibility of real time web based mobile games on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch.
Though the non-release on iPhone is a setback for Silverlight adoption in the mobile market, Microsoft does say an Android client will be available soon. Silverlight is already available on several Nokia’s and Windows Mobile devices, just like Adobe’s Flash (Lite).
