Nielsen: iPhone 4 Doesn’t Beat Android

August 2nd, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Research & Stats | No Comments »

According to the latest US numbers from research company Nielsen, Android is growing faster than the iPhone while the BlackBerry still hasn’t been beaten off its throne.

In the US, BlackBerry held 35% of the smartphone market while Apple’s iPhone held 28% of the market. Looking at new subs, Android (27%) shows to be a bit more popular than the iPhone (23%) but still not as popular as BlackBerry (33%). If iPod Touch and iPad sales would have been included, iOS would probably be leading the way though.
