Nielsen: Android Users Use More Data

June 3rd, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS, Platforms: iOS, Research & Stats | No Comments »

In a recent study from Nielsen, the analyst discovered that Android owners are using more data than their iOS counterparts. Something that used to be the other way around.

Android users consume on average 482MB a month while Android users consume 582MB a month. Since iPhone owners are still heavy users of streaming media and apps, it is to be expected that Android’s widgets are responsible for most of the dataconsumption.
