Shortly after raising $25 Million in funding, Ngmoco announced the acquisition of mobile game developer Freeverse. Freeverse celebrated it’s 5th million App Store download yesterday.
In total, Ngmoco has raised $40 million in funding from Kleiner Perkins, Northwest Venture Partners, Maples Investment and the newcomer Institutional Venture Partners. Freeverse is the second studio it buys. Last November the company also acquired Miraphonic. In both cases, the developers keep developing and the publisher will keep publishing.
