Apple has started field tests with a new generation iPhone. This iPhone was spotted by developer Pandav who reported it to MacRumors.com. The new iPhone identifies itself as iPhon3,1. The current iPhone 3Gs is known as iPhone2,1.
Reasons to believe this is a new model iPhone is because the iPhone 3Gs was discovered the same way about 8 months before its release. The new iPhone is speculated to have a dual core processor as well as WiFi N capabilities.
