Consumers can now download a new APK file from XDA Developers that allows them to root their Android device with the push of a button. Rooting software seems to become popular.
The APK supports the Google Nexus One, HTC Hero, Magic, Dell Streak, Motorola Milestone, XT701, XT800, ME511, SonyEricsson X10, X10 Mini Pro, Acer Liquid and Vibo A688.
