This morning, we got several tips that Namco would be closing it's mobile branch. Due to an NDA I can't reveal all the info in those tips as well as the communications we had with Namco already. Yet, a part of it has been made public by Namco already.
Namco announced that the mobile branch is under review. Job losses (though Namco will try to avoid that) will happen and outsourcing the publishing business might be the case.
The full statement can be found over at ME.
Namco going to EA – very interesting compared to the interview here:

Not so, says O’Neill. “We have a position where some carriers are worried that they’ll end up with a triopoly, or a duopoly even, which will really restrict consumer choice,” he says.
“EA may be bringing great games from Taito and Eidos and others to market, but you still need to have a broad range of vendors.”
Good luck to all developers and employees working for Namco.
Maybe Namco should offload him as well…
