Namco has announced a deal to distribute Japanese mobile games on the portal
of operator KDDI to North America. With this deal, Namco opens the doors to the
US for all Japanese developers that have created mobile games for KDDI, one of
Japan’s biggest Telco’s.
"Partnering with Namco allows us to work with an established leader in the North American mobile market, ensuring the quality of the localization and successful distribution of our catalog of Japanese games to North American wireless subscribers," said Takashi Nagashima, General Manager, Content and EC Division Content and Media Business Sector of KDDI. "Publishers of KDDI’s games that currently do not have distribution in the North American market can now build a presence through this relationship with Namco."
