India is clearly a very interesting market for Nokia’s N-Gage programme. So important that Nokia started a dedicated marketing wave with promo busses as well as now adding a new local payment system called Oxicash.
Indian consumers can top-up their Oxicash e-wallet via their debit cards or even by paying cash at an Oxicash office. Via the Oxicash system, they don’t have to own a credit card and are not bothered by possible billing limitations from the operators.
We wonder how long it will take before other platform providers will follow Nokia’s most recent moves.
