The Linux-driven project Tizen has just launched the first Beta version of the new open source operating system for smartphones. With the release of the beta, the team also made available the first SDK for developers.
The final version of Tizen should be ready by the second quarter of 2012. By releasing the beta version and the SDK, the Tizen team hopes developers will have some apps ready as soon as the first Tizen devices are announced.
In recent Tizen history, Samsung merged their Bada OS with Tizen, showing support for the project. It is highly likely that Samsung will release the next Wave devices with the Tizen versions of Bada. The Tizen project is also backed by vendors Huawei and Panasonic.
Congratulations
