Symbian has revealed the third generation of the Open Source OS called Symbian^3. One of the most important aspects will be the strong graphical overhaul for the UI that should make it more attractive for the consumer.
The new version of the Symbian OS is likely to hit the shelves in the second half of 2010. It will have native HDMI support as well as more efficient memory management, new 2D and 3D graphics in the user interface, support for 4G networks, one click connectivity for apps and games (no more harassing warnings) and other usability enhancements.
