Intel has announced new deals with vendors to develop smartphones and tablets based on Intel’s new System on a Chip line. Amongst them are operator Orange and paymentcompany Visa.
Intel was already working closely with Motorola Mobility (Google) and Lenovo. With the new deals, Intel expands its line of mobile customers to Orange, Lava International and ZTE. One of the fruits from these new deals will be the Orange smartphone that runs on an Intel Atom Z2460 reference SoC.
With Lava international, Intel will be launching the Xolo X900 smartphone. It is an Android smartphone aimed mainly at the Indian market and running on a 1.6Ghz CPU.
