Android During his speech about Google’s mobile ambitions, Eric Schmidt also took the time to tell the listeners more about the results of Google’s Android platform which was launched over a year ago.

According to Schmidt, there are currently 26 different devices on the market that run Android as the operating system. This results in 60.000 Android devices being sold on a daily basis. He didn’t give any numbers on Google’s own Nexus One, but statistics show that phones like the Motorola Droid and HTC Hero are still leading sales.
