The guys form MoCoNews met Fox Mobile CEO Mauro Montarano today at the Mobile World Congress. They interviewed him about Fox' experience and problems with the App Store.
One of the biggest problems the SEO mentions is saturation. The App Store is great, but with 15K applications and mobile games on there, it will get harder and harder to get found by consumers.
To make your mobile game stand out, the company would love to do some marketing. Being the owner of Jamba/Jamster, the company is pretty experienced in that field. Yet, it's impossible to let consumers buy mobile games via shortcodes that are promoted on TV.
"Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) needs to clarify their commercial strategy. They need to formalize commercial rules, and the rules for marketing and how to do it. If we could do web to mobile sales push on the iPhone, that could work." said Mauro Montarano to MoCoNews.
