MWC: EA Lands Asha Launchdeal with Nokia

February 27th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Distribution, Platforms: J2me | No Comments »

Nokia and EA stroke an interesting deal surrounding the launch of Nokia’s new Asha 202 and Asha 203 series 40 devices. Consumers can download the EA 40-Gamepack within sixty days after purchase of the device.

The EA 40-Gamepack includes premium titles from EA and the studios it acquired over the past years like PopCap Games. Needless to say, the amount of free games might limit demand for other third party games. What compensation EA will receive is unknown.

Next to offering free games on the Asha 202 and 203, the Asha 302 device is the first series 40 phone with official Mail for Exchange support. Needless to say, a fruit from the Microsoft co-op.
