Munster: Apple to Sell 1mil iPads on Day One

March 13th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

This Friday, consumers will receive their iPads by mail (if not delayed) or line-up for hours at the many Apple and other electronics stores that will start selling The New iPad. Gene Munster expects Apple to sell over a million of them on the first day of sales.

On the first day of sales, the iPad will be sold in more markets than ever before, including France and Germany. Wall Street Journal even expects Apple to sell 10.1 million iPad’s in the first quarter. If Apple is able to sell a million units on the first day, 10.1 million should not be a huge challenge with the device launching in many more markets by the end of the month.
