Tom Lous was asking in a group discussion what the way to go is. There’s native development on one side while there is a wide collection of tools on the other. Next to that, what if your one iOS developer is away on sickleave?
One of the things that is noticed, is that quality of native apps versus web-based apps is the UI and that’s where consumers can get a disappointing experience. Next to that, Android owners are not expecting a webapp to have an iOS look.
One of the things everybody agrees to, the UI experience is leading and should live up to consumer expectation, depending on their platform.
Testflight helps (Android) developers to find testers with different models of phones.
Update apps with bugfixes and reply to consumers that have complaints
Put the businesslogic on the server instead of the app as that is more easy to update
Don’t forget the changelog on Android. There’s a host of users that will give you a 1 star rating if you forget this
