Motorola might be witnessing the same resurrection Palm did earlier this year. It’s new Android based ‘Droid’ handset has sold 100.000 units in the first weekend of sales.
The Droid handset is pushed by Verizon to counter the iPhone. In their advertising, Verizon focuses on things Droid can, but the iPhone can’t do. Verizon took 200.000 devices on stock which means the device was still far from sold out. Motorola will sell the device as the Motorola Milestone to Telus in Canada.
