Arvato
As of January first, Arvato Mobile has been acquired by Mondia Ltd.(housed in Dubbai). As Arvato Mobile will be split off from the rest of Arvato (part of the Bertelsmann group) we guess the company will be renamed at sometime.

Yet, the Mondia Ltd website's news section only displays an investment in Arvato Mobile Middle East. Arvato Mobile Middle East has done a lot of content deals in the Dubbai area over the past months.

The price was not disclosed. As we didn't find an English translation (no we will not throw it through Google Translate), the quotes below are in German.

Arvato was up for sale quite some time. Now they found a huge company. This might get Arvato mobile or how ever they get called soon into another level. Wish them good luck. Fact is Mondia is just huge! Would be good to get a statement from Mondia what they are planning with Arvato mobile exactly.

      Hello SamII,
as far as I know Mondia is a Ltd. company with only 50.000 USD capital. Compared to Bertelsmann this is not huge. I bet they are interested in buying some patents of arvato-mobile and get rid of the rest. It seems that Bertelsmann has realized that they cannot make much money by selling ringtones. So they gave it away for a small price.

      Hey SamII !
I also checked this out and only found some confusing information about Mondia and the owner Mr Rahmann. Where did you get the information of several billions ? Mondia is primarily a consultancy for foreign companies interested in business in Dubai. Do you know more about this company ? They did some business with Bertelsmann and Thyssen. But what are they interested in ?

Armin – It could be a scoop if you can get to the bottom of this one.
Arvato are an important player in the European gaming scene so understanding the scope and impact of this news may be quite important…

    7. SamII says:

@mandoe – just wait for the big story.

arvato mobile has a yearly turnover of about 32 Mio. Euro. the registered capital is 65.000 Euro. arvato mobile was part of arvato ag. arvato ag does not give any information of the profit of its single subsidiaries. Due to the segmentation of the european stagnating games market I think that the profit based on the sales of games is very low. They might make some money by developing interfaces or platforms or with video/tv applications. This may be of interest for Mondia.
