Just a comment on this whole mobile-gaming trend we’re about to see… Honestly, at first it sounded intriguing/exciting/progress/blah blah…But to be honest, I would really have to say that the people are not ready for it..why? generation gap, a huge gap; the baby boomers, seniors, and many others over the age of 50 (whole probably make up most of the pop. in casions) are NOT going to enjoy playing games on a 5×4 inch screen. They’re there for the experience of GAMING… and the younger generation, yeah, I wouldn’t be very satisfied playing games at a bar, swimming pool, club, etc; for one, I’d rather talk with people, enjoy the moment, relax, and if I saw others playing, the word ‘compulsive’ appears. It’s a risk, but I honestly believe it’s too early… if anyone was to invest in it, or try it, go ahead, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if it flops. Maybe in another 20 years when technology has further advanced…

So far as I can see, it’s only Orange that have real money mobile gambling up and running on there site, although vodafone have announced they are about to join in. Has anyone tried it yet? – I think you can access it on the Orange wap page directly from the phone, although I’m not sure about accessibility (age restrictions, athorisation etc).
Any more info anyone? Also, what about mobile poker? Has anyone had any good experiences with that yet.

Just to add, the mobile casino I am talking about is also on the web at mobile.casino.co.uk. As I say, I haven’t been able to try it yet, but would like to know if it’s fun

The mobile casinos are getting bigger, but I really think mobile poker will end up being larger than mobile casinos. PokerRoom.com and their sister site CasinoRoom.com already have mobile clients along with a few other sites launching them as I speak.

    5. Nice website
I’m starting to think we will see online gambling being allowed again by the end of 2008 (or at least the legislation in place to allow it in the future by that stage). Quite a few news stories recently seem to point that way and a couple of poker networks have started taking on US players again (Microgaming being one of them).
I really hope so, as I love to play games like – Monopoly Slots Online and at the moment I can’t find a place to play slots like that in the US. Luckily, a lot of the time I’m in the UK where they are well ahead of the curve in legislating online gambling.

    6. Well, nine months later and no sign of any move by the US government to legalize online gambling. However, a new president ma change things. My guess would be that Barrack would be better as he loves poker. The other guy hasn’t apparently even heard of the internet!
