Who said mobile wap games don’t have a reason for living? Mobile gambling company Slotland.com announced it as the only way to regain the iPhone consumer!
As most of you know, the iPhone is a closed box for development of mobile games. Even the browser currently doesn’t support Java or Flash (Lite). With the iPhoen consumer being one that is clearly willing to spend big bucks on some entertainment, this means not only a strike in the face of the mobile game developer, but also a heavy loss of clients for mobile gambling firms worldwide.
Slotland.com has now chosen the alternative route by creating wap based mobile games for the iPhone, well in advance of many other mobile casino companies.
“Like the iMac, Safari is the Internet browser built into the iPhone,” said John Lancelot, Mobile Games Manager of Slotland.com. “Officially, no third-party applications will be allowed to be installed on the Apple device so the web browser will likely be the only way to access casino games on an iPhone.”
“Slotland has always been one of the few casinos that really worked well on web television browsers and, for the same reason, they’ll be the only ones to work in customized trimmed-down browsers like the one in iPhone,” said Lancelot. “Like a lot of people, we’ve been waiting for the iPhone for a long time because it has higher resolution, better quality, more graphical features and the touchscreen is going to be great for playing slots.”
This being said, now is probably an even better moment to get WAP based games back at the operators that will sell the iPhone which might mean golden times for companies like HandyGames that kept producing over the years.
