Mobile Games Fans Play Over 1 Million Games in Largest U.S. Cross Carrier Mobile Games Tournament for Prizes Ever

Participants in Tetris(R) Tournament for Prizes win nearly $10,000 in prizes; InfoSpace Mobile has hosted more than 10 million multiplayer tournament games in 2004 InfoSpace Mobile and Blue Lava Wireless today announced the winners of the largest, cross-carrier mobile phone games tournament for prizes ever held in the U.S. During September and October, competitors in the ‘Tetris(R) Tournament Mobile Championship’ played more than 1 million games for the opportunity to win nearly $10,000 in prizes provided by InfoSpace partners Pyramat and other companies.

The grand prize sweepstakes winner will travel to Hawaii to meet Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov. InfoSpace Mobile hosted the massive mobile games event. The leader in the mobile multiplayer tournament game space, the company has hosted more than 10 million multiplayer tournament games for prizes to date in 2004, more than any other mobile games company.
