Participants in Tetris(R) Tournament for Prizes win nearly $10,000 in prizes; InfoSpace Mobile has hosted more than 10 million multiplayer tournament games in 2004 InfoSpace Mobile and Blue Lava Wireless today announced the winners of the largest, cross-carrier mobile phone games tournament for prizes ever held in the U.S. During September and October, competitors in the ‘Tetris(R) Tournament Mobile Championship’ played more than 1 million games for the opportunity to win nearly $10,000 in prizes provided by InfoSpace partners Pyramat and other companies.
The grand prize sweepstakes winner will travel to Hawaii to meet Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov. InfoSpace Mobile hosted the massive mobile games event.
